$BTC is pretty much at the same price as the Friday close. Whilst a lot of random #altcoins doing 40-50%.

This is usually not a good sign for the market in the near term.

This happens on two occasions.

At the end of the bull market whales distribute and exit. So this could be a little extended alts season before the next big leg down for BTC

or

Market-wide altcoins bottom as whales buy and mark the altcoins_ bottom, this usually gets followed by a BTC rally.
