Bitcoin, Ethereum Spot Trading Volumes Are On Track for Lowest Levels Since 2019
Bitcoin's spot trading volumes for the current quarter have reached $721.10 billion, the lowest since Q1 2019 if September's volumes remain consistent with July and August. Quarterly trading volumes have been over $2 trillion between 2019 and 2023. Ethereum also experienced a decline in trading volumes, with July and August volumes at 232.06 billion and $212.92 billion, respectively. If September's volumes reach around $220 billion, the cumulative quarterly trading volume for ETH would be just over $650 billion, a level not seen since 2019.
