According to the latest Coingecko report, Nigeria has established itself as Africa_s leading crypto nation, capturing 66.8% of the continent_s interest in cryptocurrency between January 1 and July 4. The popularity of crypto in Nigeria can be attributed to factors such as poor traditional finance infrastructure, high inflation, and currency depreciation. South Africa, Morocco, Ghana, Egypt, and the Ivory Coast collectively accounted for 23.8% of Africa_s crypto interest. Impressively, the top six countries alone contribute to over 90% of the continent_s overall interest in crypto.
