I happened to run into Kite's founder, Chi Zhang, last time, not in a formal setting, just during a break at a technical salon. The surrounding noise was bustling, and the aroma of coffee filled the air. I casually asked, "Why tackle such a tough nut as 'building an economic system for AI'?" He didn't talk about any grand ideas of changing the world but instead reminisced about his days grinding away at Google Cloud and Snapchat.

He made a metaphor - those top AI models are like eagles locked in a cage, clearly having wings, yet only waiting to be fed and commanded by others, never truly flying. This suddenly made me understand why these tech enthusiasts from Silicon Valley giants and Stanford, MIT have gathered together. What they want to do is not just ride the wave of popularity, but to let AI break free from its tool-like nature and transform into an independent entity that can earn money and make decisions on its own.

What’s the most impressive thing about this team? Their ability to cross boundaries is ridiculously strong. They are neither the type of chain OGs who can only write smart contracts, nor the academic types who hide in laboratories writing papers; they are more like practical product managers who have emerged from the battlefield of business.

CTO Vibhav Bhargava previously worked on large-scale system architecture at Meta, and the greatest asset he brought is the word "practicality." When designing solutions, they do not look at PPT data, but rather think: "How fast does the AI shopping assistant need to be to help users grab bargains during a traffic peak like Double Eleven?" This approach of deducing technology from real-world scenarios enabled their test network to withstand 17 billion interactions—this is not a number produced in a laboratory.

The metaphor of an eagle in a cage is absolutely brilliant, but to be honest, I’m still a bit skeptical about the whole idea of AI making money autonomously.

The metaphor of an eagle in a cage is truly brilliant, but honestly, bro, it still comes down to actual trading volume and how long it can be sustained.

The metaphor of the eagle in the cage is brilliant, it really hits the nail on the head. However, if AI is able to make money and decisions on its own... if that really happens, we need to be very careful.

The metaphor of the eagle in the cage is brilliant, but to be honest, AI making money and making decisions for itself? That's harder than building an economic system, right?

The metaphor of the eagle in the cage is absolutely brilliant, truly. These people from Silicon Valley are just different; their words hit the nail on the head. 17 billion interactions have held up; this data must be real.
