Bank of England's Governor Bailey recently shared his take on what's happening in the gilt market. According to him, the structural shifts and trading pattern changes we're seeing in UK government bonds? They're not some weird anomaly. Pretty much every major bond market globally is going through similar transformations right now. The gilt market is just riding the same wave as everyone else—nothing out of the ordinary when you zoom out and look at the bigger picture across global fixed income markets.

Tired of hearing the same old rhetoric in the bond market. Does the fact that the whole world is changing really mean there’s no problem?

Just shifting the blame—if everyone does it globally, then nobody has to take responsibility.

Nah, this is a typical case of passing the buck. Just because everyone around the world is doing it doesn't mean there's no problem. The logic doesn't really hold up.

Well, Bailey is starting to shift the blame again... saying that the global bond market is the same, I've heard this line too many times, every time something happens it's "systemic risk", but I've never seen anyone take responsibility.

I have to say, this Bailey is passing the buck again. Just because the world is changing, does that mean we have no problems?😅

In simple terms, it's shifting the blame to the global market, implying there's no problem on their part? Heh.

Speaking of which, Bailey's trap sounds so comfortable, the whole world is changing and you are changing too, so isn't that a problem?

Well, Bailey is just shifting the blame, right? Just because the whole world is like this, it doesn't mean we are in the clear?
