But this money can actually be saved. Aldi's research shows that a Thanksgiving dinner can actually be reduced to $4 per person. The money-saving tricks are simple - use old decorations from home, have guests bring their own drinks, don't buy new clothes, and if possible, host it locally without the hassle of traveling.

Interestingly, 30% of people will also attend Friendsgiving, while 51% will go to a family gathering, which is the main reason for spending money. Instead of paying for every event, it might be better to host one yourself, as this can help control costs.
