On December 1, CoinWorld reported that Coinbase released its 2025 Transparency Report, covering the period from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025. In 2025, Coinbase received law enforcement requests from over 60 different countries, including subpoenas, court orders, search warrants, and other formal legal processes. During the reporting period for 2025, Coinbase received a total of 12,716 requests, an increase of approximately 19% compared to last year's report. Although there was an increase compared to 2024, the total number of requests has remained relatively stable over the past four years, ranging between 10,000 and 13,000 each year. Requests from outside the United States accounted for about 53%, an increase of approximately 2% from the previous report. Approximately 80% of all law enforcement requests came from the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, and Australia. From 2022 to 2025, the United States remained the country with the highest total number of requests. Coinbase emphasized that it is obligated to respond if these requests are valid under the laws applicable to the exchange.
