Don't remind me again today

Cardano founder confronts the community: Genesis ADA is private profit, don’t even think about touching this money.

[Coin World] There has been another stir on the Cardano side. Founder Charles Hoskinson recently publicly responded to a sensitive topic – whose money are those early Genesis ADA actually considered to be?

Here’s the thing: there are voices in the community hoping to take out this batch of initial tokens to support new ecosystem integration projects. But Hoskinson directly refused. His reasoning is quite hardcore: these ADA were privately earned little by little by the early team who took the risk of losing everything; they are by no means a “community public funding pool”.

You should know that back then, Cardano was just a concept, and the chances of success were pitifully low. Those who were willing to invest money and time at that stage were taking risks that were no joke. Now that the project has been developed, these early contributors rightfully hold their deserved shares.

As for ecological construction? Hoskinson's attitude is: there is now a dedicated funding mechanism to support new projects, so stop focusing on those early allocations. He prefers that everyone shifts their attention to the governance framework that will be launched in 2026—that is the key to driving the next round of growth for Cardano.

In short, the founder is drawing a clear line: the rewards for early contributions are beyond doubt, but future developments must follow new rules.

Those who took risks early should make money; this logic makes sense. --- Here we go again? The community wants to play people for suckers with the ecological construction funds. --- Hoskinson isn’t talking nonsense this time; who will bear the risk of the real money being invested? --- Laughing to death, Genesis ADA came about this way; why should it be given back now? --- The early team was betting their lives, and now they still want to trap? Wake up, everyone. --- No one would back down in this matter; how can we talk about community sharing when it comes to private gains? --- Cardano is starting internal strife again; this same act has been going on all year round. --- It makes sense; if you don’t bear the risk, how can you expect to share the profits? There’s no such good thing in this world. --- Private gains are private gains; there’s nothing to argue about.

That's bold! Entering early was always a gamble for life, so what's wrong with taking some profits now... The community isn't short of places to find money, why must they eye someone else's cake?

Tough talk, Charles, but the community is indeed a bit greedy, haha Why should those who worked hard in the early days give you a free ride? Everyone understands this logic. I just want to know if that Genesis is really locked up or if it's secretly being cashed out again. This wave is a bit rigid, but I can also understand the founder's attitude. Genesis ADA has always been a meme, it feels like it can never be clarified. Really, the risks are borne by oneself, so why should there be a share now? The community's ideas are too idealistic; reality is like this. I feel that there will still be waves in the future. Charles is just like this; he can handle soft and hard. Cardano is going to trend again, right? How could early investors possibly get their money back? That's common sense. But where will the funds for ecosystem development come from? It feels like Charles responded a bit hastily. I actually believe that he is really taking risks.

This logic is sound. Why should those who went all in early have to support those who came later? --- To put it bluntly, it’s about bearing risks for oneself and reaping the rewards. Now you want to freeload? Dream on. --- Here we go again, I've seen too many moral coercions like this "for the ecosystem" nonsense. --- Honestly, not many dare to spend money in the early stages of entrepreneurship. Why should they give it away now? --- Hoskinson isn't wrong this time; it’s just that the community will have to cry a bit longer. --- So the question is, who will pay for ecosystem development? Or will we continue relying on the Treasury? --- Ha, now the genesis holders can sleep soundly again. --- Where were you when early risks were nobody's concern? --- I just want to know if there will be any changes in the future; the project party's attitude is quite firm. --- Private gains are just private gains; there's no need to package it as "community welfare."
