PANews December 1, according to a report from The Block, the Yearn Finance's aggregated staking product yETH was attacked, with the attacker managing to mint almost unlimited yETH through a vulnerability, resulting in the depletion of the pool's assets in a single transaction. On-chain data shows that the attacker then transferred approximately 1000 ETH ( worth around 3 million Dollars ) to the Coin Mixing protocol Tornado Cash. Several contracts used in the attack were destroyed after the transaction. The exact scale of the losses remains unknown, and Yearn stated that it is investigating the incident, V2 and V3.
