Uniswap's ($UNI) major governance proposal has passed its initial Snapshot vote with strong consensus, receiving over 63 million $UNI votes in favor with virtually no opposition. The "UNIfication" plan marks a significant step in restructuring the ecosystem's governance and economics.
The approved proposal will:
Unify Uniswap Labs and the Uniswap Foundation under a coordinated governance framework
Activate protocol-level fee mechanisms for $UNI token holders
Proceed with a $15.5 million Cantina bug bounty to audit the new fee-switch contracts
A full on-chain vote is expected to follow next week, potentially implementing one of the most substantial upgrades to Uniswap's ($UNI) tokenomics since its inception.
