Jin10 data reported on October 3rd that in response to the French side claiming that the French Navy recently intercepted a tanker suspected of being linked to Russia in its territorial waters, on October 2nd local time, Putin stated that there is no basis for intercepting tankers on the high seas, and that this is a pirate act. Putin said that the French side may have been searching for military supplies, drones, etc. on the ship, but found nothing. The tanker is flying the flag of a third country and operated by international crew. He personally cannot judge how much the tanker is related to Russia. However, Putin also pointed out that seizing tankers carrying Russian oil could lead to conflict.
