I am pretty confident that the only reason we do not have clarity currently progressing, is because it doesn't fit their schedule of market manipulation.
Clarity will mark the floor, because anyone left screwing around will be risking more than 25 years in prison. The only question is when.

Emotional take -
The Clarity act keeps getting stalled whilst they finish off raping the markets. When the act passes, everyone starts to behave to avoid prison time.

So we have a huge expiry today and max pain sits at $80k, but because we are playing war games with Iran, and they mine one in every 25 blocks, everyone is safe havening into stables. Without any war games, we would fly to $80k this afternoon, purely to cause max pain in the options market.

Today we have a large options expiry, and max pain sits all the way at... wait for it... $80k. Usually, we would see a huge push towards these levels with expiry in mind. Not sure what catalyst would get us there with this current market but interesting stuff.

The amount of Jane Street defence cope circulating is hilarious. People are trying to defend something because it doesn't fit their confirmation bias.
