Two new features are coming to XRPL expressed by David Schwartz, CTO of Ripple. On several occasions, he has expressed his excitement about the upcoming upgrade to Ripple's XRPL because of the features that will be integrated.
The company has announced an update that will see the integration of an Automated Market Maker (AMM) and a redemption feature.
According to the official announcement regarding AMM: XLS-30 will bring a native automated market maker to XRPL that integrates with the existing DEX order book to enable trading of digital assets in automated liquidity pools and enable developers to address a broader audience of DeFi stakeholders.
On the other hand, the redemption feature is designed to allow newly issued assets to be subscribed to be redeemed through a trust line. It cannot be used to recover XRP – this is an important clarification.
