FUNDING | Nigerian Crypto Startup, ClapMi, Secures $20,000 Lisk Grant to Scale LiveStreaming with Rewards

ClapMi, a Nigerian crypto, has secured $20,000 from Liskfollowing its successful incubation under AYA HQ. This funding will help the startup scale faster, deepen its impact, and keep pushing innovation forward.

On X, the team confirmed the news and celebrated the milestone stating that the funding is a strong validation of the startup’s vision and the future it is building.

Recall that ClapMi was one of 8 startups that graduated from the Lisk Cohort 2 incubation program.


The program offers up to $20,000 in grants per project by graduation, along with continuous mentorship, a structured curriculum, and access to a strong network to help startups thrive.

Participants also receive ongoing support from Lisk and the opportunity to secure up to $100,000 in additional funding to grow their ventures.

Through its platform, ClapMi is creating a next-generation competitive live-streaming platform where creators host battles, fans engage through claps, and both sides earn value in a simple Web2 + Web3 experience. By leveraging Lisk’s Layer-2 blockchain, the company aims to reward fans and creators on the platform.

The grant underlines Lisk’s broader African-focused commitment through its Blockchain Incubation Hub, which supports high-growth Web3 founders in emerging markets.

For ClapMi, the funding is validation for what they are building.
