Sushi Leadership Change: Founder CEO Steps Down to Advisor, New Investor Directly Takes Over Operations

robot
Abstract generation in progress

[Bitpush] Sushi welcomes a significant personnel adjustment. Current CEO Jared Grey announced his retreat to the second line and will continue to participate in the project as an advisor. At the same time, Synthesis founder Alex McCurry has entered the scene with real money—this organization made a substantial strategic investment in Sushi, aiming to support the project's long-term operation. Alex is now directly involved, taking on the role of Managing Director to steer Sushi's next phase.

Jared stated quite frankly in the statement: although he is no longer at the forefront, he will still provide suggestions to Alex and the team when it's time to come up with ideas. This kind of “passing the baton without passing the heart” rhythm is not uncommon in DeFi projects. The key is whether the new management can spend money wisely and help Sushi regain its presence in the fiercely competitive DEX space.

Only when real money comes in can sincerity be seen; I'm just afraid the new CEO will talk the talk but not walk the walk. Changing people ≠ changing fate; Sushi still needs to see if it can perform in the follow-up. Jared's "consultant" identification is a bit interesting... to put it bluntly, it just means there's someone to take the blame. Spending money wisely? I've heard that too many times in this circle, haha. I just want to know how much Synthesis has actually invested; that's the key. A new official's first three flames, but the DEX game is too competitive. Passing the baton without passing the heart sounds good, but whether it can really revive Sushi is the highlight. Dropping from CEO to consultant, this decision has a story behind it. Collaboration >= acquisition; this rhythm seems at least more stable than the previous round. Is it true or false? Are we going to have another round of "reviving the glory" narratives?

It's this trap again, the founder's "identification", a new financial backer getting on board to take over... Is Sushi going to play new tricks again? To be honest, it really depends on whether Alex can turn the situation around; otherwise, it won't matter how many financial backers come in. Jared's timing for exiting is a bit subtle... now the new CEO is getting on board, it feels a bit like a gamble. It's a good thing that real money is coming in, but the DEX track is currently extremely competitive, so they need to show some real skills. Handing over the baton without handing over the heart sounds like "I'm still secretly controlling things"; can Sushi come back to life this time, or is it just another farce?

Another story of "passing the baton without passing the heart"; let's see if Synthesis can make something of it.

It's another power shift among the financiers, how many times has Sushi done this already? --- To be honest, real money coming in is better than wishful thinking; it all depends on whether Alex can pump Sushi back up. --- Wait, has Jared really delegated authority? Or is he still controlling everything... --- The DEX space is so competitive; can just changing the CEO really work? It looks like it's going to take a lot of money. --- Direct takeover by investors; this kind of routine is quite common in the industry, and very few succeed. --- Consultant, just the term sounds like "I'm still here".
