This morning around 7:30, there was quite an interesting activity on-chain.

An Ethereum pre-mined address has suddenly awakened after sleeping for 10 years and 4 months. There are exactly 40,000 ETH lying in the address, which is worth about 120 million dollars at the current price.

The more exaggerated aspect is the comparison over time: in 2015, when these coins were recorded, their total value was just over $12,000. In ten years, the book value has appreciated nearly ten thousand times.

I don't know if this holder finally remembered the password or is preparing to do something. With this level of address movement, the market will definitely keep an eye on whether there will be any transfer actions in the future.

lol the correlation matrix on this one's gonna be *chef's kiss* — 10.4 years of hodling and suddenly we're supposed to believe this isn't just someone's dust account. empirically speaking, addresses with that kinda time-weighted accumulation pattern almost never move, yet here we are. statistically significant anomaly or just another false alarm? *sigh* probably both.
