投资平台 Glider 联合创始人 Brian Huang 表示：「投资的核心在于增长潜力以及有哪些建设者在该区块链上开发，当我们审视 a16z 投资版图中的建设者关注度时，XRP 甚至未能上榜。」
Huang 的质疑源于 XRP 生态建设者的匮乏。「建设者创造的基础设施和应用程序能推动生态系统发展，提升底层代币价值，」Huang 解释称，「若无建设者，XRP 的增长将极其有限。多数大型机构甚至不将 Ripple 关联的 XRP 视作严肃项目。持有绝大部分加密 ETF 的机构投资者可能不愿持有 XRP，他们将其视为 Meme 币。」
