Abstract generation in progress

A fire occurred on the afternoon of November 11 at Bitdeer's Bitcoin mining facility in Massillon, Ohio, damaging two buildings but causing no casualties. According to the local fire department, the blaze started from a construction site in the southeast corner of the property and was quickly brought under control. The two buildings that burned had not yet installed equipment, and there were no signs of foul play.

Bitdeer confirms the incident and states that it is investigating the cause and extent of the damage. The company, based in Singapore, was founded by Jihan Wu – co-founder of Bitmain – after separating from Bitmain in 2020.

The fire occurred on the same day that Bitdeer shares (BTDR) fell by more than 30% after the Q3 financial report, due to investor disappointment over the lack of progress in the AI plan. Nevertheless, the company's revenue still increased by 174% to nearly 170 million USD, and EBITDA turned from a loss to 43 million USD.
