There is no compelling reason to wait ahead of a new rate hike if US economic data confirm further action is needed to curb inflation, Cleveland Fed President Loretta Mester said, according to Yonhap Infomax. In an interview with the Financial Times on the 31st (European time), Mester said, "I don_t really see a compelling reason to stop (rising rates).
