CoinWorld News, China International Capital Corporation (CICC) stated in its research report that it remains optimistic about core investment areas such as optical communications, custom chip services, storage, and wafer foundry. CICC pointed out that the eighth-generation self-developed AI chips TPU8T and TPU8I were officially released at the Google Cloud Next 2026 conference. This marks the first time since the inception of TPU that Google has separated training and inference chips, and introduced an updated configuration scheme at the cluster networking level. CICC believes that lean division of labor in AI hardware infrastructure is expected to further improve the efficiency of large model training and inference, and strengthen the "supply cost reduction—demand increase" flywheel effect.
